
Courtney Hull, Attorney/Owner
Courtney is from High Point, North Carolina, but moved to Elizabeth City in 2006 when she began practicing law.
Courtney graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001 with a B.A. in Political Science.
She graduated from Regent University School of Law in 2006, was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2006, and has been practicing with The Twiford Law Firm, P.C. since admission.
She began doing social services work in 2007 when she started representing Currituck County Department of Social Services. She handles all aspects of social services litigation including child protective services, adult protective services, guardianship, and appellate matters.
Courtney began doing domestic work in 2008 and has focused primarily on handling all domestic matters since that time. Her expertise is dealing with the needs of men, women, and children in divorce.
Courtney has the ability and experience to resolve issues without adding to the emotional upset caused by divorce and other family law matters.
Since beginning her practice, Courtney has seen the expense, anguish, and frustration that can be inflicted on a family going through a divorce. Her primary focus is to understand her client's situations and goals and to make every attempt to resolve conflicts out of court. Courtney is dedicated to assisting families in northeastern North Carolina, and her commitment to serving the interests of clients going through a divorce is unparalleled.

Jes Martin is originally from San Diego, California but moved to the east coast 22 years ago.
Jes graduated from Liberty University with a B.A. in Business and then received a Master’s Degree in Human Services specializing in Marriage and Family Studies.
Jes relocated to North Carolina 4 years ago when her husband retired from the Military, after many moves throughout the east coast and mid-west during his service.
Jes began working for Courtney Hull at Twiford Law Firm, as her domestic paralegal, and followed when Courtney opened her own practice, The Hull Law Firm. Jes is passionate about helping others and assisting those navigating the process through difficult domestic matters.

Kelsey
Paralegal
Kelsey Teachman was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and moved to North Carolina in 2011. Kelsey attended the College of the Albemarle while working at Dockside Esthetics as a receptionist. In 2017, Kelsey began working at Twiford Law Firm P.C. as a receptionist, then transitioned into paralegal work.
In 2020, Kelsey joined Attorney Courtney Hull’s team as the social services paralegal while at The Twiford Law Firm. Kelsey followed when Courtney established The Hull Law Firm, P.L.L.C. in 2024, and she continues to serve as the Currituck DSS paralegal at the firm.
Kelsey remains committed to assisting in legal services through her paralegal position in both DSS and domestic practice areas
